S212 E A/B/CCast Iron / Gray Iron Electrodes

96% Nickel-Core Cast Iron Electrode

Covered Electrode

A cast iron electrode with a 96% nickel core, for welding gray cast iron, forged cast iron, and nodular cast iron. Produces porosity-free welds with low heat input, making it easy to join cast iron to steel, stainless steel, and monel. Used for engine blocks, cylinder heads, pump housings, valves, crankcases, gear box cams, wheels, and piston grooves.

S232 E A/B/CCast Iron / Gray Iron Electrodes

Nickel-Iron Cast Iron Electrode

Covered Electrode

A nickel-iron alloy cast iron electrode for welding all types of cast iron, including tempered cast iron. Can also join cast iron to steel, or to copper and nickel alloys. Low heat input and crack resistant, with good weldability that makes it easy to use in difficult positions. Can be welded hot or cold. Used to repair gear boxes, pump casings, gear housings, engine blocks, compressors, dies, and generators.

S252 ECast Iron / Gray Iron Electrodes

Iron-Vanadium Cast Iron Rebuilding Electrode

Covered Electrode

An iron- and vanadium-cored electrode used for repairing, overlaying, and maintaining alloy cast iron and nodular cast iron equipment. Produces a slightly hard, friction-resistant deposit without excessive weld heat, with weld color similar to cast iron. Suited for molds and automotive components.

S262 ECast Iron / Gray Iron Electrodes

Hard, Non-Machinable Cast Iron Overlay Electrode

Covered Electrode

A hard cast iron welding wire that cannot be machined, used for overlay or build-up on cast iron material that does not require turning. Can also be used to weld cast iron contaminated with dirt and oil. Suited for the automotive industry, pump casting, and molds made of cast iron.
