Duplex Stainless Steel Electrode, High Corrosion Resistance

Product Information

A stainless/duplex steel electrode resistant to highly corrosive environments. Produces high-strength welds with strong resistance to low-pH chloride or hydrogen sulphide corrosion. Also used to join and overlay all types of steel, including austenitic steel and cast steel. Typically used on: X2CrNiMoN22-5-3, X2CrNiN23-4, X2CrNiMoNb18-12, P235GH/P265GH, S255N, P295GH, S355N, 16Mo3, 2209.

Application

Severely corrosive process environments (low pH, chloride, or hydrogen sulphide exposure).

(Heat-treatable steel, ferritic Cr/austenitic CrNi steel, austenitic Mn steel, high strength steel, dissimilar metal, tool steel, carbon steel) 309.

Covered Electrode

A stainless steel electrode resistant to corrosion and acid. Used for welding tanks and piping in the food & beverage industry (dairy, beer, sugar). Also used to weld metals exposed to acid, gas, steam, and water. Heat resistant up to 400°C. Suitable material grades: X12CrNiTi 18 9, G-X10CrNi 18 8, X10CrNiNb 18 10, X2CrNi 19 11, 347, 321, 304, 304 LN, 302, A296 CF 8 C, A 157 C9, A 320 B 8 C, D, 308, 308L.
